Medellin City Coffee Farm Tour

Experience the transformation of Barrio La Sierra, a Medellin neighborhood once known for its challenges but now thriving thanks to tourism. This remarkable change has turned the area into a welcoming destination where locals take pride in sharing their culture and hosting visitors. You will experience some of the most breathtaking views of Medellin from high up on the mountain top in the coffee farm as well as the cable car journey on the way there.

Your journey begins in San Antonio metro station where you take the tram to the end of the line with your guide. From there you enjoy a scenic ride on the cable car into the heart of Barrio La Sierra, leading to a picturesque coffee farm on the top of the mountain. Here, you’ll explore the fascinating coffee-to-cup process firsthand. Walk through the lush coffee plantations, learn how the beans are meticulously harvested by hand, dried in the sun, and roasted to perfection. Meet the passionate farm owners who love sharing the story behind their craft and the pride they take in producing some of the finest coffee in Colombia.

As part of this immersive experience, you’ll have the opportunity to make your own cup of coffee using freshly roasted beans and traditional brewing methods. Every guest takes home a unique souvenir: a bag of coffee they helped produce—a perfect memory of this unforgettable day.

To top it off, enjoy a locally crafted alcoholic coffee-flavored drink, blending the region’s rich coffee heritage with its vibrant social culture. This 4.5-hour tour is a celebration of resilience, tradition, and the universal love for coffee, making it one of the best cultural experiences in Medellin.
